The Blackstairs.

This is an approximately north-south ridge on the Carlow-Wexford border.

The pictures are from the annual Wayfarer's Blackstairs Walk, May 1997. Around 150 turned out with reasonable weather.

Sculloge Gap, with Knockroe Hill (540m) in the background. With a little eyestrain, you can just see a cross on the skyline.

Carrigalachan Gap, looking north at a spur of Blackstairs Mountain.
